Cheoram Coal Mine History Town is a living history museum that preserves the old coal mining village's storefronts. The houses and shops along Cheoram Stream retain the appearance of the 1980s mining village; while they may look like closed shops from the outside, the interiors feature exhibitions detailing the history of coal mining. You can glimpse the history of the fading coal industry and the lives of miners. A notable feature is the 'kkachibal' (stilt) buildings, constructed by extending residential space over the stream on stilts during a housing shortage, which resemble the legs of a magpie.
